October 9th Queen - I'm Going Slightly Mad

Tuesday

Autumn flu is out there. Some of us have dodged it but its waiting out there, I know. This autumn has brought also to every ones lips one much, much more serious disease – the HIV. This one young gentleman from northern Finland has consciously spread the virus to God knows how many women and so on to their partners and so on. I am not very keen to judge people but this time I make an exception. What the hell has been moving in Haki Akkarainen’s (name changed) mind?! Well, hard to tell exactly. He should have been able to admit that he had this disease but no. Lock it up some where down there and you don’t know it ever existed. At least when it comes to have sex – that’s especially one situation where you should not mention (not even to yourself) that you have a deadly virus in your body and it very easily can infect your partner too when you e.g. don’t use condom in intercourse. Being afraid that you have something deadly inside can drive you very mad. I hope those girls can make through all this.

Having sex these days isn’t such careless joy anymore. Or has it ever been? Well, at least if you don’t have a regular partner who you know is “clean” affairs might be hazardous. HIV is still a bit more common around homosexuals because the virus transmits more easily from rectum than from mucous membrane. Although anal sex is becoming a new trend among teenagers or has been already for a while. Thanks to the porn industry. I’ve heard that some of the "first-times" have been much different than you normally might think. Well, what ever the case is use condom.

The HIV really broke to my knowledge in 1991 through Queen’s lead vocalist Freddy Mercury’s tragic death. I think Freddy would have skipped a few parties if he could’ve only expected what was out there. Today’s video was the last Freddy shot. He was very ill at the time of shootings but manage to keep the smile while the make up was flaking and very badly.

By the way I spend my Monday morning with mentally deficient people and their nursing staff. I really respect the job those people do with them. I wouldn’t last even a day. Mental diseases are no joke when they roll over with such volume that I witnessed yesterday. Goes to think sometimes why try to reach for the moon while you could just be thankful and happy that you are healthy. But as again things are not as easy as they look like.

Here’s I’m Going Slightly Mad from Queen’s 1991 album Innuendo. It’s actually quite funny video which also can be interpret a bit opposite. Depending little on beside what you connect it.
